===== DOCCD Samples and Spectra =====

We provide **optical constants** of astrophysically relevant solid materials (silicates, oxides, carbonaceous, ...) 
derived from transmission and/or reflection spectra of polished bulk samples (natural, commercial, synthetic) 
measured over various spectral ranges. In several cases, spectra measured on different samples (of the same material) 
and with different instruments are combined in order to derive data covering a large wavelength range. 
In case of crystalline materials, data for different polarization directions are often given. 
Data for low (and sometimes high) temperatures are also available. 

Data entered so far include the following materials:   
  * Mg-Fe silicate and Al-containing silicate glasses produced by melting and quenching (room temperature, UV to FIR)
  * Mg silicate glasses of different stoichiometry produced by the sol-gel method (room temperature, UV to FIR)
  * Fe(II)- and Fe(II)-Mg oxides of different Fe/Mg ratios (room temperature, UV to FIR)
  * Carbonaceous material produced by pyrolysis of cellulose (room temperature, UV to FIR)
  * Carbonaceous nanoparticles condensed in Ar/H2 atmosphere (isolated in Ar matrix at 14 K, UV/visible)
  * Quartz, sapphire, and spinel (monocrystalline, T-dependent, IR, polarized)
